Renter-Friendly kitchen makeover tips

Kitchens are the heart of any house and they deserve to be just as beautiful and stellar as rest of your house, even if you renting the place.  We understand that updating kitchens can get tricky if you are renting the house.  So we are sharing our renter friendly tips to update kitchens without having to worry about losing your security deposit or emptying your bank accounts.

  1. Get creative with the storage

Open shelving looks absolutely stunning with neatly arranged plates, bowls, glassware or your favorite cookbooks tastefully stacked. It opens up your kitchen visually and gives it a personality. You don’t necessarily have to add shelves. You can remove your cabinet doors to create open shelving and reinstall it when you move out.

2. Hang your cookware and other kitchen essentials

Use your cookware as a part of your kitchen décor while keeping them handy at the same time. This display tip is especially great for those with less kitchen storage space. You no more need to buy extra storage cabinets and hide things behind them.  You know what is even better? Open shelving with a way to hang other utensils below it! You can get as creative as you want with display and storage in a way that’s convenient, functional yet beautiful for your kitchen.

There are beautiful hardware options in the market in many materials and colors, all at great prices. Keep the existing hardware in some place safe so that you can switch it back when you move out.  Remember, small changes will make a big impact.

7. Create perfect lighting

Lighting plays a big role in how welcoming and comfortable the space actually is. If you find your kitchen inadequately lit, swap the old shades/fixtures for new ones that are easy to install. Better lighting will definitely make you want to spend more time in the kitchen trying your favorite recipes that you’ve been wanting to for a while.
